The environment: a genuine concern

From the very beginning, Clarins goal was to create the most effective products using the highest quality ingredients, while respecting the environment and preserving the planet’s natural resources.

A team dedicated to environmental best practice is in place to monitor and audit procedures.

Clarins concern for the environment is also evident through support of environmental initiatives such as Alp Action. Headed by Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan, this organisation helps to preserve the unique but threatened flora and fauna of the region.

On the production sites

The waste produced by all areas of the operation is strictly managed and today we can report that 100% of the waste is recycled.

In the choice of ingredients

Testing

Our respect for the environment goes beyond our choice of ingredients. In 1987, Clarins was the first French company to cease product testing on animals.
